Coins can be used to buy hints, filling in an individual number on the grid automatically. To buy a hint, select the "?" icon at the bottom right of the game screen.

Coins can also be used to pay to skip specific Quests and obtain specific Trophies. You can review your Quest and Trophy progress through the Progress menu.
