Futoshiki is a mathematical puzzle where you enter numbers into the grid so that:

1. No number is used more than once in the same row or column

2. All the GREATER THAN (>) and LESS THAN (<) statements between squares are met.

A < or > only applies to the squares adjacent to the symbol. No other numbers in the line are considered.

How to play

Tap on a square to select it, then use the keypad buttons below the grid to enter numbers.

The top row of buttons enter numbers in pen (indicating that they're part of the final answer). The bottom row allow you to enter numbers in pencil, to mark possible answers for squares you aren't sure of yet.

To remove a number, tap it twice.

When pen numbers are entered in the grid, the immediately affected pencil numbers are updated:

1. The number entered in pen will be removed from any squares on the same row or column where it has been entered in pencil.

2. The numbers in adjacent squares will update if the squares are linked with < or >

You may still need to update pencil numbers manually in other squares on the grid.
