A deceptively simple logic puzzle. Can you arrange the electric cars so that every charging point is in use, but no cars are touching?

How to play

Place the electric cars on the grid so that each car is next to a charger. Each charger can charge up one car. Each car must be placed so that it's not touching another car in any direction (including diagonals).

The puzzle is complete when every charger is connected to a car, and all the remaining spaces are marked as blank.

Tap the CAR or BLANK button below the grid to select which item you want to place. Then tap an empty (white) square on the grid to place a car or a blank.

The numbers at the edge of the grid indicate the exact number of cars that should be placed on that row or column.

To remove a Car or a Blank that you've placed, simply tap that square again with the same tool selected.

If a Car is placed touching another car in any direction, a Collision Alert icon will appear under the grid. Remove one or both of the touching cars from the grid to continue solving the puzzle.

Playing tips

■ Every charger must be connected to a car by the end of the puzzle. Therefore, if a charger has no car connected to it and only one of the four adjoining squares (N,S,E or W) is empty, that empty square must contain a car.

■ When a car is placed, we know that none of the eight squares surrounding it can contain another car. Therefore any empty square around a car that doesn't contain a charger can be marked as Blank.

■ If a line has a clue number of "0" (zero), all the squares on that line can be marked as Blank. (In Quick mode these Blanks have already been placed at the start of the puzzle.)

■ As more squares on the grid are filled, be sure to check whether the number of remaining empty squares on any line matches the clue number. On the larger game boards this can be easy to miss!

Extra help

If you're stuck on a Charge Up puzzle, you can use coins to buy hints.

Hints can be used by tapping on the relevant icon in the status bar are.

The cost (in coins) to use each hint is printed under its icon.

■ Suggest a move
If you're struggling to see a logical move to enter, use this hint. The game will analyse the current grid and automatically place a Car (or Blank) in one of the remaining empty squares.

■ Check for errors
Use this hint to highlight any squares with incorrect items placed. These squares will be marked with a red 'X'. Tap a marked square to erase its contents. As there are only two states that any square can be in, it can be deduced that any square marked as an error should be flipped to the other state (Car or Blank).
