Our editorial team works to ensure all puzzles are correct. All logic and number puzzles should be solveable using logical steps and without guessing, and have one valid solution.

If you've spotted something that doesn't look right, please let us know.

There are some easy mistakes that sometimes get reported as unsolvable puzzles or alternative solutions. Please check if any of the below apply:

  • Armada - please check no boats are touching diagonally. This is not allowed as per the rules for the puzzle.
  • Charge up - please check that no cars are sharing a charger. Each charger must link to a single car.
  • Circuits - please check that the wires cover every square on the board so none are blank.
  • Cross Sum - please ensure you are solving the sums left to right or top to bottom, ignoring the normal order of operations.
  • Futoshiki - misplaced numbers in this type of puzzle can be hard to spot. Please double check there are no duplicate numbers in any lines and that the < and > are correct. Using a 'check for errors' helper can help spot these.
  • Word Snake - some puzzles contain two word answers (e.g. whoolly mammoth). Both words should be highlighted together as though they are a single word.
  • Wordy - the answer can contain the same letter more than once.

The puzzle will still complete when the rest of the puzzle has been solved.

The team are now working to fix the puzzle and improvements being made to prevent the issue from occurring again.
